5052 contemporary compositions for Recorder

= The database of the Catalogue of Contemporary Blockflute (Recorder) Repertoire counts at the moment 5052 works written for the instrument. Apart from the 40 information fields per title, the CCBM contains data of= 565 publishers, and 2117 composers of more than 45 different nationalities= ..
The CCBM is in constant development. New items are added every week in= the database. The CCBM intends to provide extensive information of all com= positions written after the year 1900, in which the recorder (blockflute) i= s originally mentioned.

The CHRR contains about 1= 900 titles, 485 composers, 257 organisations, 285 recordings and 1081 publi= cations.

The Recorder Department of the Amsterdam Conservatory will c= onclude the season 2008-09 with a concert on the 4th of June 2009, 20:15, a= t the Amstelkerk-Amsterdam. The program will feature the highlights of the = season, including Medieval, Baroque and Contemporary works (solo and chambe= r music, live electronics).

The Visisonor Foundation will p= roduce 5 new projects during the period 2009 and 2010. This ambitious progr= am, directed by Jorge Isaac, will be performed in about 10 different countr= ies and will generate 12 new compositions for recorder in different setting= s. The core subject of VISISONOR is the combination of Music & Performi= ng Arts with multimedia.

New CD Renaissance music = "El Canto Figurado"

'El Canto Figurado' is the new CD production= of the Amsterdam-based ensemble The Royal Wind Music, a double sextet of R= enaissance recorders directed by Paul Leenhouts.
This CD includes vocal = and instrumental music of the Spanish Renaissance; the record will be relea= sed in 2010. The season 2009/2010 will start with another CD release, "Der = Gooden Fluyt-Hemel", a selection of polyphonic versions of melodies by Jaco= b van Eyck.

One of the foundation's most important act= ivity is the publication on the net of two comprehensive catalogues, the Catalogue of Contemporary Blockflute Music (CCB= M) and the Catalogue of Historical Recorder Repertoire (CH= RR).
